my psp is a 2.81 firmware but it wont read discs it had 2 new lasers in it but still wont work

Currently you cannot downgrade firmware 2.81.

He didn't say he wanted to downgrade.

He is having trouble reading disks.

any idea what could be causing me this prob the umd spin and the laser goes up and down but soon as i close door it says straight away carnt read disc

yeah change title and did you test the drive's with the same disc maybe its the disc try a diffrent umd and then try running the lense with some alcohol on a cotton swap

yeah if u cant then i think your best would be to downgrader and hten play games of the memoryu caard but wait for a downdater first

then use your waranty and bring it back to sony...if u are lucky u may get a new psp, and it might be fw 2.71...who knows...though i doubt because they almost always upgrade to the latest fw...
