This is from the Nero website, maybe it will help:

Your video files will be automatically converted during the burn process using Nero's 'state-of-the-art' original MPEG-1, MPEG-2/SVCD, and MPEG-2/DVD encoder plug-in*

hi

thx for that, i just found this to ???

http://www.nero.com/en/#c1020783351250

-----------------------------
* Neither the MPEG-2/SVCD encoder nor the MPEG-2/DVD encoder are integrated in NeroVision Express.

To get more information about the MPEG-2/SVCD encoder click here.

To get more information about the MPEG-2/DVD encoder click here.

Take a look at our famous user interface and see how much easier NeroVision Express is to use than other video-authoring applications.

was that for nero vision?

mpeg1 encodes at a lower bit-rate quality meaning video will come out more messup but will be able to fit into a VCD. and mpeg2 encodes at a higher bit-rate quality meaning you will be able to get better Video quality for urs xvid/DIVX movies and will fit into a DVD disc.
