Backing up on Taiyo Yuden

In the DVD movies forums, people always recommend using Taiyo Yudens. But in these forums, people are recommending Verbatims, TDK's, etc, but don't mention Taiyo Yudens. Does the PS2 not like reading TY discs? Mine doesn't like -R TY's, but reads any +R DVD's without a problem. Just curious

I see TYs mentioned all the time so I don't know how you didn't see it. most ps2s are very picky with the media that they read, most of the time they will read -r way better then +r but, on occasion there will be systems that like +r better then the -r

My PS2 plays -R Taiyo Yuden discs very well. Even better than Ritek G04's -Rs. I really do think that some PS2s are pickier than others, so whatever works good for you, I'd just stick with it.
