Nero has always needed shutting down & re-opening to do the same burning task ...
P.S. Haven't looked but is there anything on the guide covering on-the-fly burning via image in RecordNow Max ?

I followed all the instructions in the RecordNow Max guide but when I click to BURN it asks me to insert a blank disc when I already have one in there.
That is the only problem I have, could u guys help me out. THanks a lot!

Has the disc already got info on it?
Is the disc an rw which hasn't been erased properly?
Are you inserting the correct format disc in your burner - ie. +r will not work in -r burner and vice versa?
Have you got the correct drive selected?

baabaa,
Tried RW and R DVD's, none of them are detected. I thought it may have been a prob with the RW but I tried an DVD-R and that didn't work either. I have previously burnt DVD-R/RW's so it can't be the drive, must be the software
Drive and all that is correct. I think I have RecordNow Max 3.6 which came with my Pioneer DVD A105 (i think) writer

Thats a very old version - I think the first step would be to upgrade to v4.5 - and see if this cures the problem, also they have a new pxengine update, this may also help.
Goto - http://www.softlandmark.com/RecordNowMax.htm
You can update from 3.x here - 12Mb download though - grab a coffee.
It may solve your problem - also have you altered media that your using lately?

baabaa,
Have not altered media. I am new to this, so am using the same DVD-RW to test what I am burning. I am not sure if I have 3.6 or 4.6, am at work at the moment. Is there a 4.6?

You need to make sure the dvdrw has been properly erased - for instance in Nero there are 2 options:
quick or full - I belive the quick erase only removes the toc etc and does not physically remove data - whereas the full option completely wipes it.
These options are also available within recnowmax - right click on your dvdrw drive, select erase rewriteable and do a FULL erase...
