Bricking the PSP with unpatched GTA

hey there, I was checking around forums on how to downgrade and I have GTA LCS and I'm not sure whether it is unpatched or not, but I am going to try it anyway with the easy downgrader from 2.6 to 1.5.

If my GTA is unpatched will my PSP brick in the downgrader processs?

if your GTA is unpatched than it will downgrade! but no you cannot brick your psp, the eloader from the GTA save will just not load.

you can tell if its unpatched if when you put it in the psp and before loading it up under the umd itself it should say upgrade to 2.0 if it doesnt say that it means its patched and no it wont brick if its unpatch well hope fully. format memory card and resert to defualt settings before doing it and nothing should happen!

Anytime you mess with flash there is a possibility of getting a brick. Have you checked to see if your motherboard is ta-082. If your mobo looks like this one on this page DO NOT DOWNGRADE.

no it doesn't have the motherboard. I think i might just rent one of the games, but is it easier to upgrade to 2.71 and downgrade from there?

most people will say its easier considering you dont have to locate an unpatched version of gta. the risk is pretty much equal between 2.6 and 2.71.

o man. what exactly is the risk. 90+% or something like that that's good enough for me, i think ill try with the GTA and if i can't find the patched then ill upgrade to 2.71 and downgrade from there.
