I have been reading and there is talk about roms for the ds. what is that and how does it work. would i have to downgrade the system or just add files to it. sorry i just dont understand this stuff but i want to learn.

DS is nothing like the PSP in relation to back-ups. No downgrading or flashing required.

There are a few ways to go about it. Either you can get a PassMe and flash cart/adapter pair or you can get an adapter/flash cart that plugs directly into the DS slot.

They'll cost about the same by the time you're finished paying for it, which is anywhere from $60 to $120 depending on what you buy and where you buy it.
