something happend a week or so ago and everytime i export a file video ends up fine but there is no sound.it doesnt matter what i chose for audio compression ,.wav,.mpeg3 etc....there is no sound on the end result.
if i start with a VOB file that has sound initially and convert it to mpg,AVI or whatever it will have no sound on the end result.....yet if i load it in V dub it clearly shows audio data.

otherwise my sound works in all aspects on my pc.
i did a full system recovery/destructive mode and reinstalled Nero 6.016

then did the same with 7.023b and it doesnt matter- no sound on exports.???????

are you playing your file on the computer of the player with the TV? if it's on the tv make sure you hit the audio button and see if it changed the audio channel to the correct! If you are recording a DTS audio channel that could be your culpret. Some players don't play DTS and if that's the only audio channel you have then there would be no sound.

i wish it was such an entry level/ beginner mistake....that would be easy but im no beginner and im stumped.lets say i recode a file to Nero digital using recode[recode files have audible audio] but would rather have AVI or mpg as a file type its only when i try to EXPORT using nve i end up with a file i cant hear audio on. dolby 2 ch digital is what i find most of the vob's use for audio when i start to encode.
like i said recode works fine but NVE yields files with no audio

i think there could still be something to the DST thing, im getting sound on my exports now but it is in a different language.i certainly dont see anyway to select that {vob to avi}.where could i get the necessary plugins? a more genral question unrelated to my request would be for Nero ultra7+ where do the plugins go?

all I can say is there are some versions of Nero that are buggy.... I use Nero 6.6.0.18! It's very stable and does a great job. I have no problems with it. if you want you can save your serial # and do an uninstall.... use the Nero cleaning tools:

http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html for Nero 7

then I would do a registry clean up.... and defrag... then reboot!
then do a reinstall of Nero 6.6.0.18 :
http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Ner....0.18_no_yt.exe
http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe
install both packages!~ and you should have better luck.
