hi. i am very new to this scene. i bought a TA-082 several weeks ago and i'v been waiting for some software to enable me to play ISO's on my psp.
i successfuly installed the hombrew enabler for 2.71 recently released by dark alex.
in his readme it's only explained how to install his hombrew enabler. but now i need some guidance to get my ISO's running.
i have the NFSU.iso ....what's the next step. please help.
there are so many versions and programs and everything. i don't know what's gonna work with what i have right now. help please

they talk about it in the thread if you read the thread you would no that he upgraded his tut and put the hen c in there aswell just read the last posets page 3 and 4

i just downloaded the "PSP 2.71 Easy Installer"
can you just guide me with few steps on how to get the ISO's running?
i moved everything from "PSP 2.71 Easy Installer" to the root of my memory stick.. except the WinRAR.
now.. my next step i am guessing would be to run HEN or HENC. or both? please help.

go to phot on psp and run hen c it might now work first time it should come with blue or green screeen if not then restart the psp tehn just load iso as usaul

there's HEN and HENC. i keep trying to run HENC. and it keeps coming up with blue screen for 5 seconds then it turns off. i keep on trying..
maybe i should get the hardreset done? i am not sure how. do i have to hold the power button until it resets? is that it?

but.. it didn't work. the display should be green. i only get blue until it resets.
yesterday when i found alex's revC it worked first time i tried.. now.. uh.. it doesn't.

ok i am not sure how i made it work. i just did another reset, then i started henC, it displayed blue screen and it did a reset instead of turning off my psp. then i started the devhook, then i selected UMD and the ISO game Locoroco showed up and it works. ok thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks!!! ;)

it should only flash green for the first time u run hen_c
when it turns and the psp reboots, it means u've successfully launched hen...
now u gotta go to games > memstick > devhook port for 2.71
then u should be able to launch devhook and then u run iso from there =D

hmmm... after i turned on my psp.. the wallpaper is back to normal and my isos don't work. when i try to run the devhook, it says "the game could not be started" or something.
so i tried running the henC.. i see the blue screen and the psp would juse freez then turn off. and i still cannot run the devhook.
argh. what am i doing wrong? please help!

but it shuts off instead of restarting after displaying the blue image. and the devhook doesn't work.

bah. i am frustrated!
i reformated my stick.. i held my power button off until it resets. then i copied just the HEN_C seperetly trying to apply the patch again..
and now it freezes before it even loads.. or it freezes after blue screen comes up. :(
what should i do?

SJN I guess I'm your hero.. I was trying HEN B for so long, but a friend helped me out with a guide... I'll post it for you here... you can start fresh and do it to make sure you can make it work... This definately worked for me as I tried it just 30 min ago... I just can't run SNES on 1.5... but anyhow, here.. I'll post it for you in a sec

Here it is... this is for HENC... this is simple and easy
1. reformat the memory stick(SETTINGS>>>SYSTEM SETTINGS>>>FORMAT MEMORY STICK)
2.download HEN revision C(will now work with no problems)here http://tritoch.net/forums/showthread.php?t=190
3.DO EXACTLEY AS GUIDE SAYS
4.open up the HEN C fo9lder and click on the folder MS_ROOT
5.you should now see a PSP folder and all these other files
6.copy and paste all the files besides the folder PSP to the ROOT of your memory stick
7.now in the HEN's PSP folder, click on PHOTO and place the folder HENC into the PHOTO folder in your memory stick
8.you don't need to put the HEN's GAME folders into your memory stick's GAME folder
9. now use your old devhook that you downloaded from the other guide WITH the 1.5 dump
10.you won't need the src folder, leave it alone
11.click on MS_ROOT in the devhook folder
12.place the dh folder into the ROOT of your memory stick
13.in the devhook folder,click on MS_ROOT then PSP then GAME
14.you should now see three folders
15. place those folders into the GAME folder of your memory stick
16.unplug the usb cord
17.hard reset your psp
18.go to PHOTO and click on the HENC box
19.you should now c a quick blue screen then a quick green screen
20.your psp will reset itself automaticly
21. now on your psp go to GAME and click on devhook launcher for 2.71
22.a black screen with a puplr box in the middle should show up
23.this is devhook
24.go to FIRMWARE and select 1.5
25.now click start
26.wait a little bit
27. an error should show up say somthing like this [game cannot be started]
28.You now got a 1.5 PSP for now until you hard reset your psp

LocoRoco is pretty good. i don't know what's your game taste, but i can say this game is original and you will love the sound effects. i loved it and i can't wait to play more of it.
okay, thanks alot for the tutorial. i will try it now.
i just need to know how to do the hard reset on my psp. thanks. just let me know how and i will start patching my psp. thanks

by the way.. do i really need to choose 1.5. in the other tutorial it says to choose 2.71 which worked fine for me and i could load ISOs..

any ideas why it crashes when i click on "start" in devhook? the psp simply turns off..
