I just thought I would start a generic thread on the tough to backup movies. I personally have never come across a movie I couldn't backup. I have had plenty give me some trouble, but after trial and error with various programs and techniques, I have been able to get them done.
So if anyone has such a movie, post it here and I am sure someone will come along with a solution.

No. Never and never. But if you or anyone come across one, then let me know. I like to challenge new things (i.e. explore and try various methods). In addition, I only use free tools to rip, except my encoding tools are DVD-RB Pro + CCE SP 2.70 and Recode.

The FREE solutions are: DVDFAB Decrypter and RipIt4Me. It's how you use it, if you're an advanced users, then there's really (no) not a single dvd/movies out there that can not be ripped -- simple as that.

I've noticed tons of newbies seems to get lost and confused, then went with AnyDVD route, which is all right and good for them. Even some of them are still clueless with AnyDVD (i.e. issues ripping new released movies).

So in contrast, it is not the program regardless if it's DVDFAB, RipIt4Me or AnyDVD, it's the user. I'm out of here.

Just my 2 cents.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

Agree with Alcohol - never come across any movie that cannot be backed up.

Majority of problems encountered are invariably due to operator malfunction or faulty software/hardware.

I have come accross many that were troublesome...... none that couldn't be copied and perfected ..... thanks to Afterdawn! I now have plenty of free and bought programs that do the trick for me and I can honestly say there isn't anything I can't rip, burn: transcode or encode!

There is one movie, Freedomland I think it was called.

I just had some trouble with inside man, I think universal has a new protection. when the universal presentation comes along in the preview window of vdshrink, theres a guy in every other frame of the preview, and it looks like he is dancing or something.

shrink retried 5 times and then aborted, after that I got VobBlanker and success.

I did inside man 2 weeks ago with DVDFab + Shrink to make an ISO and burned with decrypter also

DVDFab is awesoem IMO... for my litle experience and the other apps i've used this combo seems to take teh cake...especially for free apps

I can't copy the movie Click. I'm using DVDShrink and AnyDVD. Title #1 does not show on the main movie list. Anybody know of a way around this little issue??

I remember Lords of Dogtown, ton of posts on it. Used AnyDVD and the old Xcopy on it, seems like ages ago :)
