i know i sound like a noob but i neva did try this custom firmwire stuff and dont know jack about it can any one school me on it and give me a link to a good one i would prefer one from dar alex thanx

use harley g custom firmware it is THE best it is based on dax on custom firmware. you can get it here http://www.dl.qj.net

it allows you to
hide corrupt icons
remove intro
load prx files such as screenshot mods etc.
it lets you boot devhook on start
and even lets you boot homebrew on start as well

No I dont but i have been tring to downgrade but no luck then i tried to up grade and still no luck. when i tried to upgrade i placed the 2.7 firmware in the game/updates and when i looked in the memorystick it was not there. help would be nice

you have to upgrade to 2.71 im sure u new that and make the folder name UPDATE not updates thats probly why it wouldnt show up

well recently ive changed from dark alex's poc custom firmware to harleyg 's custom firmware and i have found it alot better and easyier to use and different ways to boot things like straight into the devhook firmware which i found was excellent so i reccomend harleyg's custom firmware
