Thank you for your help ahead of time, who ever responds.

My specs:

pentium 4 3.2, p4p e-deluxe motherboard, thermaltake psu 480w, 2*kingston valueram 512mb, 3 hd, two sata and one ide.

Ok, so here is the issue. My computer has been running perfectly, with no flaws, for over two years. But then suddenly, when i tried to turn it on one day, everything turned on except nothing happended, no boot, no signal to the monitor, all the fans work, the psu works, the heatsink gets warm, HDD light on constantly, (no flashes) and thats it. Nothing else happens. No beeps either. Nothing. I unplugged everything exluding mobo, cpu, psu and one stick of ram. The same thing happended - which was essentially nothing. So, my question is what in the world happended. Is it definetly the motherboard? any help would be appreciated.

check the can shaped objects on your motherboard as these are capacitors to see if flat topped & not domed. try another psu.

Hey, thank you for your responses.

I forgot to mention that i also cleared the cmos, as written in the manual - removed battery, moved the pins as the manual says- did all that. Still the same issue. Capacitors are all ok, no leaks.

I unplugged all other peripherals, including hard drives, cd roms drives, and other stuff, including pci boards. I unplugged one of the kingston rams and turned on the system. Still no beeps, everything goes on including fans and psu. the heatsink also gets warm, so i think the cpu works, but i am not sure if i can rely simply on this sign. I am stuck guys, i thought i was tech savvy, but i guess not. This issue is just stupid and very frustrating.
Also, if it does happen to be the motherboard, any one know about the warranty thing. I got it from zipzoomfly.com and asus site said 3 year limited warranty. I dont know what that means, but can the site, if the mobo does in fact not work, help fix the damn thing?

thank you for all your future responses.

Also, i unplugged the radeon card from agp, but there are still no beeps, why? Does that sound like it is definetly the motherboard?

although that no beep when un-plugging card doesn't sound good, didn't you also un-plug a stick also and no beep, what about post led errors, does your board have post led ?? if you unpluged your sticks and got no load error's it sonds awfully Mobrdish to me now...

is your pc a custom system ?? or indistry build ?? if indistry.. you should also have intagrated graphics...if you do?? and you did remove the graphics and try to boot in the onboard monitor connector ?? it will boot to windows default drivers..if still no boot... CPU,MObrd,or PCU
