Use the ip address you receive from start>run>cmd>ipconfig/all= 192.168.1.101 .

Your IP: 137.118.200.137

When testing whether you can you can accept incoming connections on the configured port, the server returned the following error:

FAILURE

Please check your firewall and router configuration.

thats what i see now what??

Set yourself a static ip address if the one at start>run>cmd>ipconfig/all keeps changing and that will make it permanent: http://portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm

All I can add to this is that every site I have ever used including port forward, shields up, those signs in posts that show your address, etc. all give the same wrong result and I have never had a problem using the address (which is different) given by run>cmd>ipconfig/all.

Grab the BT Bible from the first link in my sig, you're lost friend.
While you're at my site, read the "long IP tutorial".

All you need to know is the .101 IP address, as that's the address you need to forward your ports to in your router. And yes, you have a router, because your IP address begins in 192.

Magics.

If you've got green lights, then you're ok. I bet the torrent you're downloading doesn't have any seeders.

Fid something big and fat like a linux distribution with a couple thousand seeders, and see if you get speed.

@ nghtpnshr:

If you are using a router ipconfig doesnt help you to finde your ip.

User onlineservices. e.g. http://www.ip-adress.com

So you can easily check out your public ip.

@jackie68 - Kinda OT here but not everyone should use those sites that give you your ip. For instance, it shows me the same wrong ip given by those sites I mentioned above and also a wrong location 20 miles away. Definitely not my isp; could be a transfer station but I doubt it as there's one a mile away. No proxy and I'm behind a router and ipconfig/all is the only way to retrieve a valid ip address.
