Hi there, ive got a problem with my DVD43 software, i used to use it in conjunction with my dvdxplatinum software and it worked great.
Then the other night i upgraded the dvdxplatinum software to a newer version now when i try to use the platinum i keep getting the same message "disc is css encrypted."
I have uninstalled all software and reinstalled but still not working, i even went back to the older version of platinum, but that did nothing. Can anybody offer some help.
thanks

DVD43 hasn't been updated in quite some time. If you are looking for a free way of ripping your movies give RipIt4Me a try. You must uninstall DVD43 first.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

Thanks for that but what i really want to do is find out why it's not working anymore. the dvdxplatinum program does a really good job of compressing movies without any loss in quality, i do also run dvd fab platinum but that software does not always compress that well and you can get picture freeze ups in the middle of a movie.

personally i would forget about DVD43 and get hold of AnyDVD 6.0.7.0 you will not have a problem with it.

@morpheus7-------if you are getting freezing, pixelations, and/or skipping then it's your media not the software! DVDFab Platinum is a much better program the DVDXplat. If you want even better then go with the free 21 day trial of AnyDVD + CloneDVD2. You'll fall in love with it! And it's a good investment because AnyDVD is always updated very fast! There isn't a DVD out there that AnyDVD can't work with. DVD43 is a wanna be AnyDVD! It's free and it's not good. Many members here have trouble with DVD43 because it sometime works and sometimes doesn't work!! That's why you are getting your error message:
Quote:
"disc is css encrypted."

do yourself a favor and upgrade to the better programs: RipIt4Me is much better than what you're using and AnyDVD will run circles around DVD43! I bet you started having problems with the newer DVDs! DVD43 hasn't been updated for a while now and it can't possibly do CLICK or ART SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL that has more encryptions that haven't been seen in a DVD in a longggg while! That's just my 2 cents .... take it or leave it.

now let's look at your media. what are you using? the best media to use is the made in Japan disks. Read the lable and make sure it says MIJ! Follow this rule and you can kiss your skipping, pixelations, and or freezings goodbye! Verbatim is the only exception to this rule.... they are top notch media but made in Taiwan/Singapore and the only disks from Taiwan that I will use! The rest are MIJs!

Ok thanks that sounds like good advice. After my last thread i downloaded clone dvd2 and any dvd i got them in a package deal, and you were spot on "this software is fantastic" Only thing that may be a problem is that it does not have a duel layer burning function.

Probably a bad download. Some movies out there are corrupt on purpose.
