Why do I keep dropping frames?

When using nerovision express to capture video to my hard drive I keep dropping frames? Can anyone please tell me why this is and how can it be fixed? Any advise will be appreciated thanks.

Im using version 3. I am recording from a sony mini DV. Yeah and for some reason i drop too many frames whilst nerovision is recording it. Anyone no why, or have any suggestions?
