...not only write existing TS files to a DVD, but also converts files "ConvertXtoDVD"-style? For now, I'm using ConvertXtoDVD to write to hard disk, then use DVD Shrink to merge the titles. Is there any program that does both?

Nero Vision is a similar converter as ConvertXtoDVD but you should stick with what you have now.

I agree with LOCOENG...... Have much success with ConvertXtoDVD then Nero Recode, or just using ConvertX! And isn't that what it's all about? Success rates?! Stick with what works and keep on being a happy burner. Try other programs and see if you like it but always remember what works for your system and enjoy. It's always good to have programs and guides to help you with those picky or tricky DVDs, downloaded files and know that you can do anything to rip, convert, burn! there is nothing that I can't do with video files and I owe it to Afterdawn and it's great members that taught me sooooo well!

What kind of "merging" does DVDShrink do? You still end up with 2 (or more) titles just like they were in ConvertX.
NeroVision on the other hand does actually merge multiple files into one.

Hi there,
Other than not seeing a 1 sec freeze / video burp, and have the DVD Player timer start back to 00:00:00 why is it SO important that a 2 part movie be only one ?
I use ConvertXtoDVD and have 2 menu entries.
Movie Part I
Movie Part II
I'm a happy customer !!!
I guess I don't get it :)

Hi there,
Yes, I'm still alive and well :)
cdr-zone.com
gravure-news.com
cdfreaks.com
has official VSO Software forums, and I am more active there now.
But still visit here, and answer when I can.
Feel free to ask me anything about any VSO Software.
If I don't know the answer, I have a direct line with GOD, oops VSO.
I work hard on reporting bugs, updating bugs on their bugs sites, so keep the developpers busy :)
And when new builds are released, I try to let the people know (Usually in the thread that the bug was 1st talked about) that a new build is out, and shoud solve this specific issue.

Hi guys,
Does anyone know when during the convertxtodvd process that the .ifo and .bup files are made?
I was in the process of converting and I cancelled the project and the only thing that was in the convert folder was the .vob file.
Does it make the other files at the end of the process or is that all convertxtodvd makes is the .vob file? If that's the only output file than how does it goe through DVD Shrink without the other files?
I hope my question makes sense.
Thanks

All I know is that when ConvertXtoDVD completes its job of converting the files, it then writes the files to that directory. It's a wierd process that CX2DVD does.

Okay, thanks.
It does write the remaining files at the end. Even if there are muliple files, it looks like it writes all the .vob files first and then at the end it writes all the others.
Thanks

Yeah, it does write them. I think the reason for that is that if you accidentally move the files, or mess with them in any way, it won't delete the data or crash your system.
