for all you M3 and supercard lovers, the G6 is the better more expensive solution for DS backups and development. No worries about picking the best flash card that is fast enough to play all the games, the g6 IS the fastest with read and writes speeds.

my question is how much space is available. In the past I have seen flahs memory play terminology, GB = gigabits (so whatever the value is, divide by 8... 4GB equals 512megabytes) , Gb = gigaBYTES, the large amount of space.

is the g6 actually offering 4096 megabytes for ds backups? that would be awesome, if so I will invest.

forGET the swap magic and hdloader!!! if you want convenience and have it 100% working, get a modchip.

Everyone knows already about the G6 and what it's capable of...

You have it backwards about the space. GB = gigabytes and Gb = gigabits. The G6 is 4Gb with 512MB of space. The reason for this is because NOR memory is expensive, thus the reason media card adapters such as M3 and SuperCard exist in the first place. Not only that, but the write speed of the G6 isn't as fast as an SD card since NOR takes a while to write to.

In the end, it's a trade off no matter how you look at it. The M3 and G6 are around the same price range, and it's basically a choice between storage and read speed. Not like the M3 needs to load much faster anyway.

Thanks goes out to theridges for the userbars :)

Yeah, the M3 has a RTC. The RTC (real time clock) is only used for GBA games though, as all DS games go off the DS hardware instead.

Oh, and just to clarify, when I say M3 SD, I'm referring to the miniSD and microSD versions as well.
