This is what I do, and it works perfectly. I hold the power button up as if turnign it off, but longer than sleep, and longer than turning it off. If will always turn off if you hold it for about 10-20 seconds no matter what. No battery removal whatsoever.

the only reason i take the battery out is because its faster to turn off because im too lazy to hold the power slider up for 20 seconds.

If u use alot of homebrew then ur PSP will freeze alot. I just take the battery out its faster than holding the power switch up, it takes too long i have no patience for that kind of work. The battery isnt tight anymore its loose so its easy to come out so its really easy for me to reset. My PSP is a battery slut unlike all you ppl with virgin PSP's with tight batteries...

PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

yea you guys are true. I tend to get impatient when holding the power off, removing the battery is more faster and doesnt need your finger get hurt.
