sorry to sound crazy but ive made like 3 threads and hav had not one reply.....

Ok can som1 explain why when i use scart lead swap magic works on my HDTV but when i use component wires the swap magic logo is about to to load then screen goes black and my HDTV says mode not suported?

If i use a official game with no swap magic it loads/runs perfect with the component wires.

Is swap magic not compatible with component wires?
im using swap magic PAL 3.6

i really want to use component wires as it gives me a better picture
Any ideas pls?

yep have to agree with ace it is one very funny question but i would go with its not compatale but as the ps2 isnt hd anyway its its a strange one

Well sorry its not like im makin a new thread hourly or even every day. Ive waited calmly for days on end and got no reply....

This is the internet i assumed som1 out there would know the answer, i cant be the only one who has had this issue.

It doesnt make sense that its not compatible with component wires...

Why wudnt it?

Swap magic is compatible with component video wires. I used to use swap magic and can confirm this. When I switched to a modded PS2 (DMS4 Pro SE), the component video cable didn't seem to work until I used an AV adaptor. It works fine with an AV adaptor and there's no loss in video quality either. My TV's not an HD TV, so I don't know how well this would help you. At least it answers your question of swap magic's compatiblity with component video cables.
