HELP! PSP not updating!

I am trying to update my 1.5 psp but the psp saye 'The game could not be started.(FFFFFED0)(the last character is a zero)Is it not updating because i have flashed backgrounds to my PSP using PSPersonlize back when i was a newbie.

try re-downloading a new update for your psp or even updating from a disc first to get you off 1.5fw

and have you put the eboot.php in the correct folder /ms:psp/game/update

yes i have put the update in the right folder and no i havent tried a umd but will flashed backgrounds prevent you from updating or devhook from working?

O_O ever thought of making sure the battery if fully charged and it's still in their. put it in the right folder, etc etc. like the instructions it said on the site or book..

devhook isn't working, so he's upgrading to 2.0 and downgrading again.

atleast that's what he seems to be trying to do since he mentioned flashed backgrounds and his devhook isn't working.
