Well, as of late my m3 has been tarding out. I have the sd perfect m3, the passcard 3, and a 2GB sandisk sd. When i turn the unit on, it goes through the passcard screen just fine, but instead of displaying "This product is not endorsed or affiliate with Nintendo" the screen stays that shade of black and freezes. I have a feeling this is because of corrupt firmware, but I cant update that if the unit ds wont boot the m3. Im pretty sure the sd isnt to blame cause ive tryed reformatting t as both FAT and FAT32 (is it FAT16?) and im pretty sure the m3 is still working because when you try to boot without the sd in, it recognizes that there isnt anything inside. Another thing i might add is that the m3 gave the no formatted sd inserted message a couple times before this problem started, so it might be the sd afterall. I'm wondering if anyone has an idea to help me out.

Update: I'm pretty sure the problem is with the SD format, but when I try to format over to Fat16, I get the error message, "FORMAT is not available for FAT16 drives" I'm using the Dos commands so that might be it. If anyone has a suggestion on a program I could use to get around that, I would appreciate it.

Try using the format built into windows... you should be able to format it correctly there. M3 supports both FAT16/FAT and FAT32 if i'm not mistaken.. if they don't support both then its for sure FAT32.

Nope.. unfortunately I can't. If the M3 boots up without the SD card in it and tells you theres not one in there, then everything should be working right.. I'd suggest making sure that the connectors are completely clean and if it still doesn't work.. just gotta break down and buy a new card :(
