Help ripping DVD with subtitles

I'm trying to rip the family guy DVD with the subtitles already on it so that I can transfer it to my girls iPod video.

How would I go about doing it? I need the english subtitles on the ctual file, I know how to convert to MP4 though.

use DVDFabDecrypter ..... this will rip the whole DVD onto the Hard Drive with everything..... you can use any ripper to do this so long as it is updated to rip newer DVDs. I use AnyDVD with DVDDecrypter or you can use RipIt4Me that will rip to hard drive. Ripping the whole dvd onto the hard drive will ensure that you will have the subtitles in there. here is a guide:

to get to the subtitles you have to set the playback to play the subtitle stream!!! so maybe you already have that and need to set the playback to play the subtitles!
