What the heck am i doing wrong AHHH!!!

ok i have the "visual boy" emulator and a couple of emulated GBA games from www.emuparadise.org/roms on my pc. i then got some emulated games from http://www.hackmypsp.com/index.php?categoryid=8&p13_sectionid=5

i then proceded to put those files into my PSP/GAME folder (or PSP/PHOTO folder if specified). So when i try to play emulated games on my PSP it either freezes up my PSP or i get an error message saying "this game cannot be started. the data is corrupted" I have firmware version 2.71 and according to the 5th sticky down (by 3dluis) i dont need to downgrade my PSP in order to play emulated/iso/hombrew games on my PSP. What could i be doing wrong??????

Dude just downgrade and then install devhook, it would be so much easier.

Plus you could just switch to version 1.5 and 2.71 whenever you wanted to and then easily switch back..

Check some of the tutorials that are stickied.

if u noticed emachine, i did go to that thread and got no responce thats y i posted here... pluse there was a guy below me with the same problem and he got no answer. in any case I was told that this could be done without having to downgrade. and yes pwhite23 i know it may be easyer to downgrade but i want to know it works for 2.71 before i decide to downgrade (if i decide)

Maybe he has a ta-082 motherboard or hes scared of bricking his psp.

I got into a debate with one of my friends awhile ago about PS3... hes convinced that PS3 will be unhackable because of what he has read up about the Sony staff members. apparently it is said that Sony has hired ppl specifically to stop random hackers from finding ways on playing any of thier media for free. so he has concluded that the launch of the PS3 will end all attempts from hackers from ever being able to play backups on thier PS3. He figures that since the Sony staff member are getting paid to update the firmware all the time, and hackers are only doing it for the glory, that eventualy the hackers will never be able to keep up with the consistant firmware updates. I told him not to underestamate the hacking community but he is convinced that the "hacking/backup copy wars" will be over with Sony as the victor. if i can convince him that ppl are still able to play backup games on the latest version of PSP's then there will be no doubt that they wont stop tring when PS3 comes out either...

Why don't you just use HenC and use the gpsp which works with it
