Burning DVD Copies using Nero Disc Copy

I have been using DVD Shrink to create DVD files, and then Nero 6.6.1.4 for burning them, with great success. But I have done so many that my hard drive is filling up with the files to the point of overload. I need to eliminate the files to regain hard drive space, but what do I do if I want to make another disc of those files? Once I have a disc that is shrunk and burned can I stick it back in and just use the Nero "Copy DVD" command in Start Smart, or do I have to load in the original master disc and start all over with DVD Shrink to recreate the files and burn the new disc? This may seem obvious to some of you power users, but I'm worried about the quality of going disc to disc in comparison to the great quality I have now using DVD Shrink to Nero. Because of this I figured I'd ask here rather than to take the chance of burning a coaster.

Go ahold and delete those files from Shrink off of your hard drive. You can use the dvd copy option in Nero. Quality will be the same as the one you are copying from.

Just make sure you're using the good stuff like Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. In store look for made in japan only Sony, Fuji or Maxell.

Thanks for your help. Quality is a big deal of course, and I didn't want to burn 2nd class copies. As to the right media, I just began burning my first few discs from the 200 Verbatims I bought from Newegg. Man oh man are they smoooooth! Another good call from the Afterdawn crew!!

Well then fryerider you are definitely good to go!
Your copies will be just like the backups.

Try the Taiyo Yuden's sometime. Very smooth too. Check out http://supermediastore.com.

OK, as to the TY's -- I have been afraid to buy them because I have read here that there are fakes floating around. My original discs that I ever bought were TY's from Shop4Tech, but I have read here on the forum that they are one of the sellers that sell fake TY's. That's why I decided to use the Verbatims from now on since the majority of posters here swear by them. So how do you be sure you're getting genuine TY's? Is it a function of who is selling them? I sure don't want to get some, find out they are fake, and have to fight, or even just pay for return shipping, to return them. Seems like more of a hassle than it would be worth when the Verbatims seem less likely to be fake. Also, are they a lot less $, making them more attractive cost-wise than the Verbatims, or what?

Can't blame you being leary. Taiyo is probably the most faked media. Hmmm wonder why :)
Yes Shop4tech was a seller of the fake stuff. Online you do have to watch who you buy from. I have used supermediastore for almost 3 years like others here - along w/ rima.com & meritline.com - sell the real deal Taiyo.
From what I've seen Taiyo is a bit cheaper at these sites. Having a Columbus Day sale then again they run sales alot :)

I buy them online most of of time cause it can be a pain instore looking for the made in Japan Sony or Fuji - those are usually made by Taiyo Yuden. Plus I also use the inkjet printable ones along w/ the non printable.
I usually buy my Verbs instore.

While the media id code can be faked there is one way to tell the real Taiyo's by the code etched on the back of the disc by the inner hub.

8x DVD+R = YUDEN000T02 / TG00xxxx
16x DVD+R = YUDEN000T03 / TH00xxxx
