I have to get it from EB because I have store credit there. Im hoping It wont be a 2.8x

I have already tried 4 diff. used psp's, but they all had dead pixels. im tired of going back and forth to the store(cuz its too hard to see all dead pixels in a fully lit store).

Cant I return it if its a 2.8x? Il just make up some BS story and say its no good. They have to take it back, right? I do have a spare battery thats fully charged I can bring with me

and check the stickied motherboard guide and it says about the letter on the box which tells you the version of the PSP.

dead pixels arent too big of a deal.you can get an lcd for $20

flowfast, u should just ask them what firmware it is. I dont see why they shouldnt tell you. Btw if u buy an LCD screen, can u buy 2 and ill remburse u the money. Good luck with the PSP!
