ok first my problem is, my psp stops reading the UMD whenever it gets shaken while I play, I know it stops reading because the screen when you press home pops up, or the disc icon dissapear while in XMB, and then it repops again after 5 sec(imagine those old CD players that skips a lot when bothered and its pretty much just like that). Now I bought a new UMD drive to replace my old one, but when I dismantle my psp i get stuck to that part where you have to detach the ribbon that connects from the mobo to laser. I need help on how to disconnect that or if anyone of yous know where i can find a tut on how to change the UMD drive it would be much appreciated, thanks.

if ur talkin about the big fat ribbon then theres two black pieces you have to move out to pull the ribbon free. its the only connector on the psp that has a different way to hold the ribbon in.

thanks for clearing it out, I have another question, how do you un hinge that metal frame that mounts the UMD inside the UMD drive? the one that ull see when u pull out the UMD door.
