I'm very very happy now that I've just got devhook to work!!! :D

In case I ever need to format the stick again...do I just copy and paste the SAVEDATA folder from my PSP to my PC...? and then copy it back after formating?

Yeah all the savegames are in thier so just back it up and you will be fine
