Nah definentley the aspire. The Dell has less features and lower specs except for the proccessor. If you can afford it get the aspire.

Why would anyone ask this question anyway? the dell has lost they're touch awhile ago. Go for like toshiba or hp for laptop. Or if you have a lot of cash i would definitly go for asus. The best if you have money for it. THey have like HD-DVD and HD screen with DUAL screen. They're running the top of chips for your laptop so if you have penty of cash, ASUS is the best or they're other brands like HP or toshiba. But never go to DELL!!!!!!! i would rather buy SONY!!!

Sony Sucks at laptops i remember 5 years ago (2001) nearly every laptop had a mobile pentium 4 cpu but this one had a mobile pentium 3 running @ 933mhz and it was one of there best ones then, yeah dell sucks too i hate toshiba their laptops are slim but too wide and they look cheap i would say acer and hp are the best mine is a hp and it's mad i would go for the Aspire out of these two but the dell isnt that bad either the cpu is better

Dsktops are always ahead.

I just bought a sony fe770g
intel c2d 1.6ghz, 2x512ddr2, 120gbhd, built-in webcam for about $1300 and there's a $150 rebate.
the laptop is slim and fast, very sweet overall.
definitely check out the sony fe770g at your local retailer.
stop hoping, start loving.

No That will not ok let me explain
1) I dont see any Laptops with a 2.93ghz Core 2 extreme cpu
2)No laptop has a Graphics card as strong as the Radeon X1950xtx
3)They dont have a "21" Flat screen
4)There Cd rom drives are slow
5)there hardrives are slower then Desktop Harddrives
6)they are hard to modify eg. Change The Graphics card it takes 1 hour to take the case of I tries then when i got to it its a freakin little sqare chip solderd onto the MB I just said &^%& That and closed it and kept using the 256mb card well not a card a graphics processor as it shares with oyur ram
What Im trying to say is that no matter how strong it looks there is a desktop out there that will beat it what you are seeing in a laptop is what what in a pc 6months ago but modfied to make it portable
