Hi people, thinking of getting a PSP. I have seen a lot about version 1.5 and the higher versions. Basically what advice can people give me? The idea of being able to put games straight on a memory stick for the PSP in version 1.5 i think is big positive. But i have been told you can't play wireless on version 1.5.

Basically what are the real truth's behind the 2 versions?

well ya u can put games onto the memory stick and u can go on the internet with 1.5. u just have to get devhook (its free), u can do everything a 2.71 and lower can do plus more. U can get homebrew and emulators. its the s**t!

yeh that's what i needed to know. so basically if i bought a psp v1.5 from ebay or a friend etc... i could use torrents to put games on my memory stick and effectively there would be no extra cost lol.

am i right?

out of interest, what is devhook? and if I had a 1GB memory stick, how many games could I fit on there?

1.) Devhook is a firmware emulator. It emulates higher firmwares then 1.5 giving you all functions of the higher firmware. Including being able to play the newer games. It also doubles as a game loader.

2.) Its hard to put a number on that some games are bigger then a gig. but then there is games that are less are 20MB. It just depends on how big the game is mainly. I would go for a 2 gig stick tho because if you rip your own games. they wont fit on a 1 gig stick all the time. 2 gig u have plenty of space with a lil to spare for ripping games.

My fav is scrape because it searches the more popular sites at once and gives u a list from all sites.
