I'm looking to replace my current TV media player setup (broken screenless laptop) with something more sensible. I don't have a lot of cash and children will be using the player, the less handling of actual physical media the better.

I've been looking at the DSM-320RD:

The device as-is is not that interesting, but from what I've read combining it with the free TVersity media server ( http://www.tversity.com/ ) makes it a nice setup.

My question is simple: Any good reasons why not to go with this? TVersity takes care of possible format incompatibilities, and the WLAN features really appeal to me. Comments, experiences, anyone?
