I was reading through the topics on the forum as highly recommended and I came across a quick hit on multi disc games. I would like it clarified for me, multi disc games such as Xenosaga III and Onimusha Dawn of Dreams cannot be played without the original disc in order to complete the swap from 1 disc to 2nd disc??? Thanks for any help in advance.

There's usually a save point at the end of Disc 1, just before you need to swap to Disc 2. So save, reboot PS2, then load up Disc 2 & load save to continue playing.
