2.71 Custom Firmware SE and Devhook

First Id like to thank Dark_Alex, harleyg and Mathieulh for making this possible.
I just upgraded my firmware to 2.71 SE which can lounch homebrew from the game menu.
I downloade the latest devhook and Devhook Launcher/VSHEX Mod 1.63a but I just cant get it to work with the 2.71 SE firmware. The PSP crashes after 5 sec.
Any help will be appriciated!

So your PSP is 2.71 right now?
You must downgrade first before you can use devhook. You can't run devhook when your firmware is 2.71 it has to be 1.5 to emulate 2.71.

You didn't read the readme.

Delete your DH folder from the MS. Then use the 2.71 devhook Dark Alex included in his download.

I'm laughing at the answer you got.

He said 2.71 Special Edition.

I was reading about this but whats the point of the devhook port for 2.71 when u can load kx-ploited homebrew from the game menu. What exactly does this custom firmware do?

It has both features from 1.5 and 2.71. So I think that newer iso's can be played in this, without having to use devhook.

still i think devhook itself is good enough it emulates 2.71 and allows for games to played at or under that firmware

Are you emulating 2.71? Man this custom firmware is confusing. Go get yourself devhook.
