homebrew does liven it, and like hexitnow said, snes is great on the psp. i agree. but you can't say that psp is going down the "flusher" you gotta wait until we see improvements in the games.
and if s@#! happenes then we can conclude that it really is something to be flushed out later.
personally i think sony is prepared to improve these flaws. they know most of their games suck, in fact i wouldn't be surprised if the big man himself of sony psp is like " wtf? what is this gargage?"
but that, i think, is a bit of an exageration.
just be patient.

? this is still going? thats cool.
anyways i still think the PSP will be able to live up to its full potential.
i think its just... well warming up! but yeah we would do well to be patient, because if a game you want is out and its the greatest game ever, and you just trashed your psp. that would really suck

can i just say something im cool with the hacking and everything but if you think the psp is going under look at what happened to the dreamcast the dreamcast was a great system but there was way to many easy ways to hack it by copying games, the dreamchip, etc. thats what led to the death of sega because they put so much money in an ill fated console but back to the psp well the psp came out about 2 years ago and it took sony how long before they made a better ps2 so maybe sony will make a better psp and call it psp2 who knows lol

i was checking the news the other day, and yes in the near future a psp2 should surface, but!
one of the guys at sony announced that prices will not be cut. He said that he doesn't see the need to cut prices since new games will be going in.
psp is already at its low point and to not cut the prices? thats sending the console into its grave dead.
dreamcast was a pretty sweet console, and i got that b4 the ps2 i dont know, there weren't many signature games at all on the DC which i think could've been its downfall and this is also the case with the psp. Is this getting frightenly familiar? I hope not...
but i believe that its the pirating thats causing that, and sony knows full well of this. we'll see if sony can keep its word about the flow of games coming into 07

i heard that the ps3 has a certain type of software in it when it acesses the internet it searches and installs new and stronger security without the users permission on the user knowing it well back to psp yea i heard about the psp2 there hasnt been a picture of it yet unlike the xbox portable but is suppose to have codes impossible to hack

we dont have to worry about that, there's someone always smarter than sony, someone who will always crack the code... and you never know it could be the person who designed it

but this code isnt just using sony's its another company that will be teaming up with sony

PSP games are getting dull, but the old ones are tight.
This is what i have:
1. GTA: LCS (my favorite psp game)
2. NFS: Most Wanted
3. Midnight Club 3 Dub edition
4. Daxter
5. Infected
And soon to be my sixth game, GTA: VCS (Vice City Stories)
And maybe soon to be my seventh game, the GTA after VCS :P, It'll be called San Andreas stories :P or Los Santos stories :P lol
All of these games i have were ripped using fastloader (thank god for that program)

PSP life: 1.00 > 1.50 > 2.00 > 2.50 > 2.60 > 2.71 > 2.81 >> 1.50 > 3.03 OE-C > 3.52 M33-3 > 3.90 M33-3 > 5.00 M33-6 - Trying to go back to 3.90 M33-3 but no one will help me :(
By the way my PSP is BRICKED if any nice person wants to help revive my psp please message me or answer one of my threads.

jeez they're just gonna remake all of the GTA games eh? thats fine by me cause the idea of having portable GTA is pretty sweet. Being able to drive by, kill, and trash cars on the run is pretty addicting. Not that i do those things in real life...

With the new gameboy advance emulator(gpsp 0.8)..already there are more games added to the psp..having the psp doesn't mean you must only play psp games..gba or snes is already enough to fill your game library with tons of nice games b4 you even have the time to play any psp ones.
For the psp games being dull..how about the incoming final fantasy 7 sequel that is only exclusive to psp?

we've all known FF7 this crisis core will be interesting as no one really knows what exactly is going on except that it is before FF7 ( im not sure), but it seems pretty cool. Theres a guy thats supposed to be a counterpart of cloud.
Next year you guys, its currently tba.
whats this new gba emulator? never heard of it, does it run at a normal speed cuz all the other ones ive tried are all so slow.

i think a remake of FF7 for the ps3 is awesome, i wonder if it will have the same graphics as in advent children (just watched it for like the 7th time today on my psp:D). And they should make something like crisis core online, i dont know just my opinion, but yeah some games online are just plain boring, or theres just no one on at all!
if you tried fifa 06 online it was like ghost town, i had like 1 person on the server!

well that shows peoples reluctancy to buy psps, even perhaps to buy the games. Yeah that would be a bad sign for the psp. Personally i think all of the online games suck..

you know i think they something like warcraft on the psp, or starcraft. you know, those old skool pc games, well maybe not warcraft, but they need those online games with fierce competition!

yes classical rpgs or in alannguye words "old skool" games for pc or for any console would be great. Even by itself it would still be enough to keep me entertained, but add on online and its even better.
Still, i dont think people will give up their warcraft pc gaming days just to get a new warcraft-like game on the psp. Who knows? maybe hardcore gamers will do that to be able to play their favorite games on the portable

I had a PSP up until about a month ago. It broke, and the shop I bought it from offered me a full refund which I ended up taking.
I do miss it but to be honest I was kinda bored of it. To me it seems like the system technically peaked very early on, whereas with other consoles the best games come out later on in it's lifespan when developers are totally to grips with the hardware.
When I first got my PSP, I was blown away with the likes of Wipeout etc. Compared to my GBA SP, it was in a totally different league. But nearly 12 months down the line I felt like I had seen the best that the PSP had to offer. Though I'm sure there are some fun games in the pipeline, I reckon that most of these will just be sequels and rehashes.
Being able to play SNES, Megadrive etc games on it was cool, but I can do that on my PC or Xbox without them slowing down (some games were fine but others were unplayable due to speed issues). Likewise there were some decent PSP releases, but given the choice at home I was always going to stick my Xbox 360 on rather than my PSP.
If they significantly come down in price (sub £100), then maybe I'd pick one up again to take with me on holiday. I've still got all my PSP stuff stored on a harddrive (50gb worth of Isos, emulators and roms, applications etc) if I ever do.
