I just came to thaught a few days ago when i opened my psp ... if I would seperate the tiny batery on the back of the motherboard of the psp. wouldnt that reset the psp flash back to its originial 2.0 or 1.5 etc.. from its 2.8 or would it brick it? just a thaught havent tryed it yet ... just wondering if anyone ever heard or try this before?

no that wouldnt do "reset" it to 1.5. the firmware is held is on the flash and the flash is not powered by that tiny battery.

It was just a thaught about the battery thing ... and like the rest of ya'll still waiting for that 2.8 downgrade ... but also for the dub 2.8 where it allows you to play the new game ... cause i'm still having fun playing most of the new psp games that are out. and yeah i keep on hearing about sometime in the middle of november that this 2.8 downgrader is comming out ... not for sure tho.

Lol I don't either. But wait why is sony so dumb? All they would have to do is make a mobo that won't let it below 2.80 and that would stop everything.

this instales every thing you need to downgrade and gives full instructions just like the 2.5/2.6 downgrader

well for soy to do that they will have to make a mobo that starts on 2.8 when we get it it comes like that and then if you try to downgrade it will brick but who knows maybe they did it already
