I am a newbie to ripping and to working with Final Cut. I am trying to get more practice and do not yet haev quality footage of my own to use. I wanted to take some commercial DVDs that I own and rip them to my Macintosh. Then I want to cut them into clips and import them into Final Cut to use as practice. I have tried MacTheRipper, DVDxDVpro (trial)and Handbrake. DVDxDV shows a totally pixelated image. DVDxDV gave me a file that was unusable. MTR gave me a file that was video only as did Handbrake. How do I get both audio and video and them chop it up to practice editing? Please help.
