i can not find a link that will download a working version
of cd/dvd generator 1.5

is there another program i can use that will do the same job

?

Check the stickies, theres one there and that CDVDGEN worked fine for me.

Sticky topics are those that are in bold & always stay at the top of the forum, as if stuck there - pretty obvious really!

And you can get Sony CDVDGenerator 2.0 at backupscene, in the downloads section.

downloaded that and it does the same as the others, says corrupt file somewhere

Look for the Stickie thread that says something like "finding programs" thers a list of programs in there and CDVDGEN is one of them, it worked fine for me so i shouldnt see y it wont work for u

Must be a problem with your PC then, cos I use it, and it works fine. In fact, it was me that uploaded it to backupscene if I remember correctly.

And I'd remove that email if I were you - against forum rules!
