I have been burning movies onto disk memorex dvd+r's for quite some time now and I convert them by using WinAVI v.7.7 no problem. Then after retrieving the converted file from the specified directory and load it into nero7 Burning ROM v.7.5.1.1, I hit the burn button and it burns but I keep getting this error ??? what does this mean.
help....in understanding why i keep getting this error message
The movie plays fine i play it in a standard dvd player sys.

two things:
first you have InCd installed with your Nero. That's Packet writing software that interferes with DVD writing. Uninstall InCd. Packet writing utilities such as "InCD" are notorious for interfering with burn processes, as the way it works is to continually poll the burner to check for new media. This prevents the burn application gaining exclusive access to the burner, and sense code errors will happen - every time.
Get rid of all packet writing utilities.
They are more trouble than they are worth.
and it's wierd but your Sony burner has firmware that is not listed in the firmware page for your burner DRU-810A (which is a rebadged BenQ drive)! you show 3.0d when as of April, 2006 the latest firmware is 1.0e. did you do a firmware update on your drive? how old is this drive?

I'm using the external Sony DVD RW DRU 810A- USB Device, I have not installed no firmware other than the one provided with the product it self. I just baught this device about 4 months ago, had no problem installing. Would there be an updated driver for this device ?

The model on the device it self says DRX 810ULT but the driver is SONY DVD RW DRU-810A> Version: 3.0d is there some kind of mix up. if so it fixable to update the lates driver for this model# DRX 810ULT USB External device

Okay here is another error log. I have burned another movie onto dvd and at the last finalization this error popped up again. I do not know if the InCD in enabled or not so if this is causing the error then i need to know how to disable it. btw, thanks Arniebear and IHOE!!

If you are using Memorex media it is not the greatest, however try burning at a higher rate. You don't need to burn at 2.4x try 4x or 8x and see if it burns through. Or try some other brand of media if you can, Verbatim is always good.

I heard that memorex is not the greatest t burn on. I just figured since burning at low rate it would give out better picture quality. I'll try burning at a higher rate and see what the outcome will be. thanks arniebear once again.

you're burning too fast..... only burn at half the rated speed of your disk.... if it's 16x then burn no higher than 8x!

yeah...well when you can get Nero premium for free why not take advantage of it?. but anyhow i have come to a conclusion that memorex dvd-r's sucks ass....how do i know this well for some damn reason i put in one of the RW's of course by (memorex)again and the results of the burn was A-OK no write error what so ever. Thus, giving me the idea that memorex -R's truely sucks ass. So, now i have to go out of my way to buy some Quality media. Which in mind i should have done in the first place. Oh well!!! Live and learn is my motto.
