HOW DO I PUT A FILM ONTO CD

when ever i down load a film they are all 700mb but when i use nero7 to put it onto disc they always need to be a dvd writable disc i put them onto. am i thick or do i need some other program to put the film on to cd. sorry if this is not the right forum for this posting.

the ones you're downloading is an AVI file! when you use Nero it converts it to a video compliant file that will work for CD or DVD but if your file is too large then you will have to put it on DVD5 or DLs! Or you can split your file to fit on 2 disks! What you would need to do it output your video to a folder then close Nero Vision and open up Nero Burning ROM and then:


1. select CD
2. Select Video CD

go on from there! Mind you, I haven't done this for a longgggggggg time but that's the route I would do. Why do you need to put it on CD? you don't have a DVD burner? I would go out and get yourself a cheap DVD burner... they don't cost much and you can buy an external DVD Burner for less than a tank a gas (I have trucks and one cool Mustang GT convertable)! good luck.... welcome to afterdawn!
