Yes, before you all shout at me, I know that if you use P2P ur IP addy gets slapped into a list and the MPAA and all the other dudes do a scan later on (depending on ur 'wanted' value) and also they might just be doing a range of IP's and mine happens to be one of them...

But jeez, I have had cable for just over 2 weeks, and must say honestly I only loaded up Emule to see what is out there (had kazaa at work and it sucked 'cause of the firewall), grabbed a movie or two on mule and got bored..

Now today I read about PG, installed it, fired up Mule (after installing all other security updates) and got hit a couple of times by Double Click (ad agency i know), but then

Connection forcefully closed on: 140.113.22.98 - Ministry of Education Computer Center - who the hell are these guys.. did a search on the web found nothing.

about 40 hits from them and then a couple from MHAA.

Now my question... P2P software is closed, i'm surfing the net as a normal customer would.. why the hell are they still bombarding me and how long can i expect this to go on..

Should i complain to my ISP (UK ISP) that i am being 'hit' by these IP's *ducks from all the laffin and throwing of stuff*????

must mention, have no mp3's on my drive - only the ones in games and no movies either.. so what do i have to worry about, but then the dark corner in my mind tells me to beware of the boogy man :)

come on, everyone else is doing it *grin*

Dude read my thread don't trust your ISP
i am getting hit hard with no p2p's on my comp
i think they are just finding IP's of easy targets
people with low income who cannot fight back, but just enough that if they wanted to win a lawsuit to prove a point they would

Hey, see I'm not the only one up at an UnGodly Hour.... :)

I don't know if its that, I am just suprised that they are targeting me as I don't have anything shared (never did, as i stated in previous post, just wanted to see what was on there) so they can't get me for sharing and the files i did grab are long deleted...

This really pisses me off..

Does anyone think it would be a good idea to complain to my ISP and see what they can do... Has anyone tried this with any results??

come on, everyone else is doing it *grin*

I also have a thread too that yoiu might like to read - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/39881

They are indeed invading our privacy checking around like that when they have no right at all! The only thing i can think of to stop them is if everybody attacked em at once and forced them away!
