Hi there,
Help! I have recently built a pc with these specs:

XP pro Windows environment
Core 2 Duo 6300 processor
Intel P5B mobo
1 GB of DDR2 RAM
NVIDIA 7600GT AGP

The problem I am facing is that the PC reboot itself when it is being used. Such example would be, I was running 3dmax 8 software and have been left minimize for sometime and when I try to maximize the software from the windows task bar, it automatically reboot.
What could be the reason of this? Thanks for help

Bryan

im guessing your power supply is either to small and not powerful enough or its going bad. most the time that is the case. happen to my with my 500 watt so i boosted up to 650. works like a charm

that is possible bad ram could do the trick but more then likely the PSU. BAD ram will show up very fast if you can do stuff and then just shuts probably psu. go check your event log. if its ram, it will report something

PSU is the most likely, but it is also possible that there is some corruption in Windows. You may have to re-install Windows. If you have to, do so while being offline and do not connect until you get a firewall and Anvti-virus installed.

It could also be a bad or out of date driver. I have known this to happen. CHeck for graphic card and other hardware driver updates. Driver Detective is a good website for your drivers.
