hey..i bought a 2 gb stick about a month ago and i want to know how to dump umds to my mem stick..and if there is a way to shrink them too..i have fw 1.50 and i'm using devhook 0.46

p.s. posting with my psp using my neighbor's wireless adsl router :p

u dump umds by draging them and then dropping them simple and to shrink them you need iso compressor and u have devhook so your good to go

first off i don't think i've offended anyone to deserve to be called stupid..and yes i looked at the topics and didn't find one with a title that has anything to do with dumping umds..all i saw was how to convert videos for psp playback or how to use devhook..and also if you saw my ps you'd know that i'm posting with my psp,and not because i'm a machocist but because that's the only way i can..so do you really think i would go through all this trouble if i could find what i wanted with just a few clicks?

I think you can use Fastloader (0.7 ? right?) to dump UMD isos.

@Touran, that's how to get isos on the PSP :P To "dump" means to make a copy (make an ISO) of the UMD itself.

i've tried to dump tekken with fastloader and i have 3 files called my latest dump part 1 2 and 3 and don't know how to join them together..

if you gander at the readme there is an explanation of how to do it but u do need some basic command line experience to do it.

EDIT:all it says is that you can use the copy /b command to join them whatever that means..

yeah thats the command u have to use in dos prompt but lemme see if i can find a better tutorial for you.

If it works you can use umdgen 3.5 i think. Its a great shrinker and its the newest.

hey guys..i did it..i now have tekken on my memstick..so thanks for everything..
i do have a question though..how can i get rid of language packs or movies to further decrease an iso's size?cause even compressed tekken is 1.3 gb

use umdgen 1.5 and open it up and look for the language pack and then delete them. If not just use umdgen and put the iso to (csios i think its what is called)

It makes the game smaller by a couple of megabytes and work right with devhook.

what are the language packs?do they have a file extension to tell them by cause i don't know what to delete....also i tried to mess around with the padding options and umdgen gave me an error whet it started creating the iso...
