Capcom Shuts Down Clover Studios makers of Okami

Capcom has closed the studio behind titles including Viewful Joe, and the recently released Okami and God Hand. Capcom told 1UP that the developer?s games haven?t been received well among gamers, even though some of them were critically acclaimed titles like Okami, released earlier this month.
Capcom calls their approach ?inefficient?, but it seems that it?s more inefficient marketing than game development. The closure will be finalized at the end March 2007
this is some B.S if I seen it. I am really pissed off about this one , Cap is really losing me , they are doin nothin with Street Fighter . the only games I like from them now is Resident Evil and , Onimusha series . Okami was a very innovative game and I hope Clover gets bought out and makes Capcom pay what do you guys think about this ?

Yeah all what they do with street fighter is put 3 games together and call it something. But I love street fighter. Also they cancelled this one game that I was looking forward to capcom vs snk 3 or something like that.. It was going to be awseome they were even going to have dante. But I love capcom they are one of my favourite companies like who can forget devil may cry series, resident evil series, street fighter, dead rising, Onimusha series,and a lot of other great games.

damn I need to smack myself lol for not sayin devil may cry its my favorite game of all time , big ups Face and you are right they still do have like the best games like you mentioned all them are great but . they were known and born through the fighting scene how the hell are they losing that and winning a war with lol other games . at least mortal kombat held out for a long time they got smart about it and redid the graphics added new features even side quest like shaolin monks . Oh and thats funked up man ,that game sounded tight as hell ! dante in a game how can you not win with that

Yeah I have no idea why they cancelled that game it would have made a ton of money.. But the place (capcom) that is closing down what country is it in because there are capcoms throughout the world? Oh and I think you are thnking of the wrong company "midway" does mortal kombat.

yeah I know midway maked M.K ,I was talking about how Cap should have did somethin more with Street fighter Update it make side quest you know . Thats what Midway did with Mortal Kombat they kept It interesting istead of puttin it on the shelf for other games. I would have love to play the capcom vs snk it sounded cool

Oh lol sorry I should have read better. But if capcom made something more with street fighter like 3-D fighting that would completely ruin the street fighter name. Well they do they have like capcom vs marvel, capcom vs snk 2 and afew other and the third one would have been a lot better compared to those two.

yeah I still need to check those out and naw I see why I confused you I should have posted better lol . I did like marvel vs cap that was pretty cool . 3rd strike its still on my list and really im a die hard street fighter fan my only proof they loosin is my cousins . They use to love street fighter ,well they should have did more with Ex plus alpha that game was tight as hell , it was 3D and did it well they just funked up the ps2 version. They ps1 Street fighter Ex plus alpha was the ISH it had evil ryu , akuma , Kairi . hmm alot of new ISH like link super moves . kairi was better on street fighter ex3 lol he was DBZ like ,with a fire ball the look like a kamehameha . its sad that the game play sucked as Kairi was the only reason to buy that game

Yeah I loved playing marvel vs capcom in an arcade it was so fun. I always like pocket fighter too. But the ps2 versions of street fighter are good they have a lot but all what it is is like alpha collection, anerversery edition etc.

yeah I hope they make a best sellin to notch fighter and stop puttin allll the work on resident evil , which I love but damn I think thats why they fired clover because they got to cocky about have R.E and it outsold everythang . If someone pick clover up I bet they make Capcom pay . I love the story line of R.E its is so tight . I also think either Onimusha could make that push and Dante could as well . the storyline in Onimusha is so tight and in Devil may cry . IF they choose to make movies out of them im sure it would sell and pick up a bigger fan base .I think those two movies could do better than R.E if the right person plays Dante ,the C.G is right with the monsters and special FX . I dont know why they are stallin Onimusha would be RAW! with C.G monsters and the perfect Samanosuke (sword wielder demon slayer)

Yeah I was going to buy that game but it was sold out I will get it soon though. As well stupid IGN gave it a 3 but gamesradar and gamespot game it good reviews.

yeah I usually dont go by reviews much sometimes I do lol I rather play it so I can put my own judgement on a game . I love brawlers or beat em ups so this one might be for me pluss you can get new skills for the God -hand and they have parodies in the game . I tell you what a great movie that was over looked was Kung Fu Hustle Lol that was great! . I'm thinkin it will have to humor in the game like that movie .

Damn Im glad you mentioned that movie. That movie is one of the funniest movies ever. I luaghed so hard. But the fighting was actually good in it which was weird but that is good so kung fu hustle movie is great.
Also from reviews I get a pretty good idea from how good the game is like the score, the good things and the negative things. But even if a game got a bad review and I thought it looked ok I would still check it out.....

yeah Im the same way about games I do realize even if it gets a few bad ones it will always get some good ones lol really all games have at least one problem there's only a few that got like 10 out of 10 .
Yeah man Kung Fu Hustle was the ISH , I was one of those people that passed on it because I thought it would be like that crappy Kung Pow ISH . boy was I wrong I think alot of people slept of it because of that . I 'm glad my cuzzins told me about this movie cause i might never a seen it . My favorite was the pin ball effect lol that was funny and the part when those dudes playin those instruments was cool

Yeah same here kung pow was horrible I didnt even watch all of it because it was so crappy. But for some strange reason kung fu hustle was good.
AS well a still like to read reviews to se if it is a good game or not I listen to them sometimes but some times I get the game anyways. Oh you have to check out the gae "bully" that game is right on it is crazy good.

ok this is what I want to see. if capcom did this I think it would be great lol its in my sig . I want to see a damn thundercats (street fighter style) fighting game . I think I need to get in school cause I use to brainstorm alot and that was one thought . I think Cap would do it best through since it an old school cartoon,since they are use to 2d art style. I also would like to see a Voltron rpg lol and a Ronin Warriors fightin game done by someone good. hmm . I would like Rockstar to make a Halloween game (with Michael Myers) where you can see through the eyes of him sneak around and kill the hell out of people lmfao they are know for this style since it would be bloody , but also let you play as the chic while he's chase you so then it would be survival horror like R.E
