Sombody telled me that when i use 2.71 downgrader 2 get it fw 1.5 then upgrade it 2 fw 2.0 and then downgrade it with MPH 2.0 downgrader to get a clean fw 1.5.

Is this true?

PS2 50004(v9/v10) flip/flopcover with Swap Magic 3.8

i also used the 2.71 downgrader, but then i upgraded to 2.00 then used the MPH downgrader to get a clean firmware.

i also downgraded 1 of my psp's from 2.71 to 1.5 then downgradecd again to 1.00 then upgraded to 1.5 for a clean firmware :)

with all this upgrading and downgrading wouldnt it be faster and easier once ur on 1.5 to use a version changer to make the psp think its 1.0 and then run the 1.5 update eboot.

i dont do that crap it seems dumb to me i just leave the 1.5 as is they never gave me any problems

What if i never cleaned my 1.5 and havent had any problems yet(actually,I dont know what the problems of having an uncleaned 1.5 are) and have a whole bunch of stuff (custom firmware and a flashed 1.5) on my Memory Stick that i do not want to lose with a version changer.
Should I clean mine at this point?

no its not necessary unless ur having problems. some users after they downgrade are having problems reading umds, amongst other things. reinstalling 1.5 or "cleaning" the firmware remedies this. but if u dont have a problem like i said not necessary.

yeah i was wonderin the same thing thanx for clearing that up for me come to think of it i hade a 1.5 that wouldnt read umd's u tellin me all i had to do is clean it out!!!!!! dang dang dang i lost so much $$$ lol
