hey guys,

ive recently found out how to play iso games with my psp2.71 and now im thinking of buying a larger mem stick cuz my 1gb can barely hold a game now (even when compressed to cso). now, ive searched around and theres a 4gb one and an 8gb one. the 4gb ive seen is out already but not sure about the 8gb. ANYWAYS.

i dunno which one to get, 4gb will hold plenty games and i dun think i'll be changing so many games during the day. but then 8gb man...the bigger the better, right? hehe.

also, the psp only supports up to 4gb mem stick, now ive heard ppl saying this is a fw issue and a new fw shud solve that, but i dont quite understand how fw will make the psp access higher capacity cards, anyone know?

and even if i DO update fw and get an 8gb card, i wont be able to run the dev hook and stuff right? i mean im an idiot who kept updating fw cuz my stupid games tell me i have to b4 i can play this game or that game.

and in the future, wat am i gonig to do??? im positive i'll eventually update fw but im scared i wont be able to play my sweet fast loading, free, huge pile of iso games that i have now...

so wat to do wat do? 4gb card? 8gb card? update fw when one comes along? can i still play iso games with different fw?

what's your opinion guys?

the firmware is kind of like an os. like computers have win xp. well the psp has firmware 1.5, 2.0, and so on and so forth. once the later firmware upgrade comes out the firmware will unlock the capability to use larger memsticks. but with newer firmware updates u lose the ability to emulate lower firmware and lose homebrew capabilities. 2GB I found was plenty for me. I can hold quite a few games on it. Can rip games without doing it in chunks. If you're isos are so large you might want to check into rip kits or remove dummy data. GTA for instance is like 1.1 gig+ but I removed the dummy data, didnt rip anything and its 800MB. a whole other gig for more iso files.
