I have no problem copying DVD movies, but would like to remove commercials for other movies etc. which often precede the wanted movie. How can I do that? Help please.

Dialysis1: thanks for telling me about VobBlanker. But I am not clear about which things to blank out. I tried keeping only the main movie, but the damned commercials at the beginning still appeared in the copy. Can you give me any advice about that please?

It would be much appreciated.

The guides I provided you should help. You will have to view each pgc to determine what you want to keep and what you want to blank.

If you just would like the movie only I would use DVDshrink, using the start/stop function under re-author. I use it myself all the time especially when I am splitting a movie.
I also like VobBlanker.

ThadiasJ: Under DVD Shrink 3.2 I do not see Start/Stop. Am I missing something? Where do I find it please?

look for the re-author tab in DVDshrink near the top right after DVDshrink reads your disk, click it.
After that you should see a smaller tab that says start/ stop, toward the left side.
I am out of town so I don't have my program to give you more detailed info.
I can get back with you after Monday if you haven't figured it out by then.

Here is a guide that should help you out.

Sorry but it is called Start/End frames and has an icon with arrows going left and right. Hope this helps.
You may need to update to version 3.2 if you don't have it.
