Does anyone know when the 8Gb memory stick comes out? Will it even be compatible with the Psp?

I read somewhere thay Sony made no plans on making it compatible with the Psp, but I highly doubt that.

Does anyone here plan on getting one?

i read it was supposed to be compatible with the psp but not until sony releases the firmware update that will allow 8GB of space.

It's definetly going to be compatible with the PSP. 2.71 enabled the PSP to already recognize memory sticks bigger than 4GB.

are u sure 2.71 did that? can u provide a link? I have been reading about it and I dont see any change to where 2.71 would allow anything larger then 4GB's.

All I heard was that it was supposed to be released by the end of the year.

One of the features of 2.81 (probbaly the only feature) was the memory stick 8 gig compatibility. Meaning only 2.81 and above will be able to use an 8 gig.
