Hi hope you can help a new user, i have a psp from japan it came with one film that works fine, my daughter gave me a few others to take on my holiday but thay will not load, could it be the firmware and how do i check or change it

unlike games the umd movies are region protected so if your psp is a jap one like you said it will only be able to play that region films i dont know about using devhook to play them coss i haven't tried but i will and i'll let you know what the outcome is

devhook will let you play them i tried some u.k movies on my jap psp and it works fine

go to psp-hacks.com and search for the devhook ultimate installer. just connect the psp to the computer and run the ultimate installer.
