psp 2.71, no umd, help please

I got my psp today, it was 2.6, so I downgraded to 1.5 then used 2.71 SE-A Installer (custom firmware). Now i got Devhook to work but inside Devhook i can't choose any iso, although i have Mercury Meltdown iso in my memory stick root.. but i dont have a UMD, is that the reason ? i bought a used psp , never came with any umd.. so what's the solution guys ?

One another thing, when i press on EXIT on devhook, it exits then psp turns off, can i make it to reboot or just go back to the system ? I really hope somebody can help

you need a umd in for devhook to work h=just buy a cheap game off ebay or somewhere ;0)

So i guess there is no other ways to play games other than getting a cheap umd and using devhook.
Just one more question, now when i put the iso in \ISO , i can choose it in Devhook.. i know it wont work now unless i get a UMD inside the psp.. but i tried pressing the word START in devhook, a black screen appear and then psp turns off, is that normal ? i just want to know that my only problem now is getting a UMD.. many thanks in advance

well you tryed starting it with out a umd in so it wont work correctly,once you get a cheap game have a try and if you still have problems post back
