Hi,
(1)Uninstall
(2) Delete the folder in BOLD:
C:/program files/uTorrent
(3)Re-install uTorrent.

utorrent has a standalone version where as you don't need to install utorrent.
Just a FYI :)

nah, it still installs, it's just not traditional.
Deleting the program folder does *not* get rid of it.
Just an FYI. :)

Define "traditional"
utorrent standalone does not go through the whole install process of a directory. Standalone means no install.

when you grab your torrent, you tell it where to put it.
Make a folder lets say in your c: drive called dot_faint_torrentZ, now when you grab your torrent, browse to this folder and your torrent will be stored there.

lol, maybe not...
You should try another client, such as Azeures or Bitcomet and see if this stops your freezing.

utorrent has the lightest footprint on windows..it's not a Java script..it's a single EXE ..that does not make sence..and it is not registerd in install and remove..it's a single executable...there is a DLL conflict in system32...run a file check through CMD

there should be no dll conflict in system 32...sorry I jumped the gun...it's a single executable..it shares no 32 ...it does share and will conflict with your browser and I.E...firefox...so on...and your system connection set up...it will search for UPNP...

of course..I dont know if, or what your problem is, I do know that Utorrent is very light on windows..it,s entire fuction is your connection setup...I would be more concerned about your connecton configuration..UPNP..for optimized performance...the freezing issue sounds more like a windows conflict to me...I would check the startup programs ...and dissable not needed functions in task manager to see if I can isolate or find a running program conflict..I would check the CPU usage in task manager while Utorrent is up to find if there is a conflict...are you using a system ASPI Adaptec..??

By "traditional" I mean that while it does not, per se, "install" in the strictest sense, it really does a number to your registry and simply removing the .exe does NOT undo the changes it has made to your computer.
