Hi Guyz ,Can i ask a noob question .... Well .. If i want to buy a psp ver 1.5 , is there any way to tell the set is ver 1.5 anot juz lookin @ the box or any other way & Abt the chipset ... i heard people say tat those psp made in china ( I cant recall the actual country ) although is Ver 1.5 but end up still cannot free psp games .... isizz real ???

no thats not true. and its getting harder and harder to come by 1.5 psp's nowadays. you wont be able to find one in any best buy or walmart as these are stocked with the newer firmware. you might be able to find a used one at a game retailer tho, although ebay will be your best bet.

first of it will be realy i mean realy hard to find a psp system thats a 1.5 brand new in a store your best shot is to look for a non TA-082 thats 2.71 and under that way you can just downgrade to 1.5 or you can just get a used 1.5 of ebay they have a bounce there

So u mean only TA-082 chip set which is the Ver 2.71 cant down-grade to version 1.5 ???

any ta-082 motherboard cant be downgraded any sooner then 2.5. Non TA-082 is good. this is how to distinguish if you have a ta-082.

devhook without a doubt. it emulates newer firmwares up to 2.71 and doubles as an iso loader. so u get the best of both firmware worlds. i dont think sony has released any 2.8+ requiring games so u can load all games.
