for some reason I can not format my PSP memory card and just comes up with a format failed error. Is their any utilities available for fixing a bad memory card and forcing it to format?

I just tried it, it still does not work, it tries but then fails just as it does in the PSP. No tools for repairing them then?

Well strange enough it has not got the word FAKE written on it but of course that is always a possible.

Gonna ask for my money back or a replacment though, it is a waste of time messing about with this one I think.

pick up a fake on ebay. I've had my fake for a year now with alot of transfering and it still works.

yea this is off evay and i am sure it must be fake. A bit of quality tech for ya :) in my younger days I had a stressfull job that involved knowing all about how quality actually works. Their is something called the bathtub curve. Basically imagine a cross section of a bathtub and thats the curve. The high points at either end are the start and end of a products life, the low point or the base of the bath is the time between the start and end of its expected life.

What it shows is that things go wrong when you buy them, or near the end of the expected life, but rarely between. Problem with fakes is you have no real idea on what the manufacturer expects them to last. Is one year the record?
